Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and PILOTLAB LLC, 304 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89107, USA, which operates PilotVerify (“PilotVerify”, “we”, “us”). They cover the PilotVerify website, dashboard, API and free homepage verifier (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

PilotVerify checks whether email addresses are valid and deliverable. Features include:

• syntax and format checks;
• DNS and MX record checks;
• disposable and catch-all detection;
• SMTP mailbox checks (our servers talk to the recipient’s mail server; no email is sent);
• single and bulk verification via the dashboard, CSV upload and API;
• usage reporting and integrations such as Zapier.

We may add, change or remove features over time.

To use the Service you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• give accurate registration details and keep them up to date;
• keep your password and API keys secure;
• tell us straight away at support@pilotverify.net if you suspect unauthorised access.

You are responsible for all activity under your account and workspace.

Credits

• Each email address verified uses 1 credit.
• Credits do not expire.
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where the law requires otherwise.
• Credits cannot be transferred between accounts.

Payments

• Prices are in US dollars.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method for each purchase.
• If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend the Service or remove the related credits.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything illegal;
• use it to send spam or to support unsolicited communications;
• verify email addresses you have no lawful right to process;
• bypass rate limits, credit checks or security measures, or probe the Service for weaknesses;
• upload malicious code or try to disrupt or compromise the Service;
• reverse engineer or copy the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
• resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend accounts or API keys that break these rules.

You keep ownership of the email lists and other data you submit. You give us permission to process it only to provide the Service to you. For that data you are the controller and we act as your processor; our GDPR & Data Protection page describes this, and a Data Processing Agreement is available on request.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and verify the addresses you submit. We never sell your data and never use the addresses you submit for our own marketing. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Rate limits

API and verifier usage is subject to rate limits that protect the Service for everyone. We may set and adjust these limits, and requests above them may be delayed or rejected. Contact us if you need higher limits.

API keys

• Keep API keys confidential and never expose them in client-side code.
• Rotate keys regularly, and use separate keys for development and production.
• Revoke and report any key you think has been compromised.

Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted. We will try to announce planned maintenance in advance.

Accuracy

Email verification is inherently probabilistic: mail servers can be misconfigured, temporarily unavailable or deliberately misleading. Results are provided “as is”, and we are not liable for false positives or false negatives.

The Service, including its software, design, content and trademarks, is owned by PILOTLAB LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose while these Terms apply to you.

We may suspend or close your account if:

• you break these Terms;
• we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse;
• your payments repeatedly fail;
• we are required to by law.

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to close your account by emailing support@pilotverify.net. Unused credits are non-refundable when an account is closed.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PILOTLAB LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PILOTLAB LLC from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses arising from your use of the Service, the data you submit, or your breach of these Terms.

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date above and tell you about material changes by email or in the Service. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
